Poco a Poco is a programme that aims to bring music to underprivileged children and youth through long-term music lessons. Beneficiaries often face barriers that limit their access to musical learning. We aim to bridge this gap by allowing them to explore and play a musical instrument. Music plays a key role in development and everyone should have the right to experience it.
YouthHarmony visited HopeHouse for 7 sessions and worked with 6 youths-at-risk. Throughout the sessions, the youths were exposed to various instruments such as the cajon, ukulele, stylophones and more. We have received feedback that it was a great programme and the residents loved it, and we cannot wait to be back again in the future!
